Currently, there is no formalized approach for developing departmental work plans. A standardized approach to departmental work plans should be created to streamline tasks, reduce redundancy between departments, and provide a clear understanding for the organization, the City Commission, and the public as to what is expected from the City on an annual basis. Departmental work plans should interface with the strategic plan goals and priorities, as well as the annual budget and the Capital Improvement Program.
