1.12 Develop a spending plan for the Economic Recovery and Relief Sales Tax.
Action Item Description
Manhattan voters approved an Economic Recovery and Relief Sales Tax that the City will begin collecting January 1, 2023. The funds from the 10- year special sales tax will be dedicated to infrastructure debt, economic development and jobs, and workforce housing initiatives. The City should take a measured and calculated approach to identify prudent spending plans for these funds with the City Commission and the public.
